Committed

Committed...a small group of six boys from Huntsville, Alabama attending Oakwood University won NBC the Sing-Off competition. After weeks of their hard work, viewers support, and many prayers, God had blessed the right group with the power to influence in the right way.

Many people including the judges themselves talked about these “church boys” needing to sing other songs than gospel. In the end Committed sounded excellent singing anything and everything the judges gave them and that is why they were true winners. They even had the opportunity to sing with their idols, Boys II Men. God has answered ours prayers once again with another group out of Oakwood [like Take 6 and Brian McKnight] making it into the industry.

We all were completely ecstatic the moment Nick Lachey (the host) announced the winners. For the actual members, it was an unbelievable moment in awe published by People Magazine: “I felt like I was in a dream,” says Geston Pierre, who celebrated along with group members Robbie Pressley, Tommy Gervais, Dennis Baptiste, Maurice Staple and Therry Thomas. “It was surreal. No words can express how I felt when they announced we won.”

Committed is on their way to doing big things. The day after they won they sang live in the E! News studio, after that Access Hollywood, The Today Show, and much more press. In addition, they have been working hard in the studio every day. Committed wrote on their Facebook page, “won the Sing Off title! God is so good. They didn't waste time getting us to work though! Access Hollywood Live this morning and recording for the album tonight in the studio. What's happening?! Lol!!! Surreal = Understatement.”

These boys are going places and all of us will continue to pray and support them along their journey. Best wishes and God bless.
