Britney on Glee!

On the night of September 28, 2010 Glee had a Britney Spears episode. This episode was similar to the Power of Madonna and the Glee Goes Gaga but only we had the actual superstar on the screen in our presence.

When the episode first begun and Mr. Schuester was pushing for a contemporary genre I doubted the quality of this episode and how they could incorporate Britney in and make it an entertaining episode.

When they brought in eye candy, John Stamos, I was sold. Then it turned out to be his magic anesthesia that put the cast members into a Britney daze. I was also inspired by Kurt’s love and assertion to do Britney music even though it got him sent to the principal’s office; that was totally worth the cause.

Funny moments where when Sue Sylvester was doing all she could to stop this Britney bonanza from happening but according to her, the students were having a sex riot which was pretty amusing. Then, personally, my favorite part was when Brittany S. Pearce realized Britney Spears helped her find her voice and who she wanted to be. She said she now wanted all the solos because she thought or realized she was one of the best singers in the group and said, “I'm more talented than all of you, and I see that clearly now. It's Britney...Bitch.” That part is only funny if you know Britney Spears song Gimme More. It is kind of like her signature opening line for a song.

Shockingly, the actor who plays Brittany S. Pearce is an amazing dancer and coincidently looks a lot like Britney Spears. She is the best look alike so far. For a second while she was singing Britney Spears’ song, I was convinced it was Britney Spears for a moment.

All in all, I personally loved the episode and from what I hear it is well liked by many others but I think they could have given
Britney Spears more than little random parts where no one acknowledges she is the real Britney Spears. She is the only person to get a dedicated Glee episode and actually be on the show. They should have given her a bigger role (she got a bigger guest spot on How I Met Your Mother right after her mental break down).

Britney on Glee was a success; I loved the episode as the way it aired although it could have been amazingly epic. But whom I am I to judge?
