Even though Valentine’s Day passed, I finally got around to seeing the movie. With a star studded cast, I absolutely loved the movie. Even though the overall theme in the movie was love, I identified more with one particular character (Kara Monahan- Jessica Biel) and shared her same outlook on Valentine’s Day. How else is a single person supposed to get through?....eat a box of chocolate while watching The Notebook?...Not like it has ever happened, but I'm just saying. The quality in the movie that attracted me the most was its exploration of various way Valentine’s days can be spent. Truth is, everyone spends theirs differently; some makeup and others break up. Valentine’s Day showed how all kinds of people spend their valentine day: married people, boyfriends and girlfriends, cheaters, gay people, teenagers, children, singles, and best friends. Everybody looks upon Valentines differently but everybody goes through it one way another: having sex, spending quality time, or, my favorite for single people, throw an “I hate Valentine’s Day” party. The movie was romantic yet gave plenty of laughs. There was never a dull moment and if there was for some people, then they were able to focus on some sexy actors (there were plenty of them). The movie excelled in both categories, comedy and romance. Valentine’s Day gets a solid four stars. Although the holiday has passed, if you get a chance try a catch it, rent, or buy it on DVD. Valentine’s Day, starring....well, everybody!
